The short version: we collect very little about you. Most of what we know comes only if you contact us directly. We never sell your data and we never share it with advertisers.

1. Who we are

Delaybox Ltd is a video production and software company based in England and Wales. We make standalone mobile apps available on the Apple App Store.

When this policy says "Delaybox", "we" or "us", it means Delaybox Ltd.

If you have any question about your privacy, you can email us at: privacy@delaybox.com

2. What this policy covers

This policy explains how Delaybox Ltd handles your personal information in relation to:

  • our company website
  • the apps we publish on the Apple App Store
  • any direct contact you have with us, such as support emails

Each of our apps also has its own privacy policy. If you're reading this because of a specific app, please also read that app's policy.

3. What information we hold — and why

When you contact us for support

If you email us or raise a support request, we receive your name, email address, and whatever you write to us. We use that information only to answer your question or solve your problem. We don't use it to market to you or pass it on to anyone else.

Legal basis: Legitimate interests — it's reasonable for us to use your contact details to respond to a message you've sent us.

When you have a business relationship with us

If you work with us as a client, partner or contractor, we hold basic contact details — name, email, company name, phone number — so we can manage that relationship.

Legal basis: Either legitimate interests (managing the relationship) or performance of a contract, depending on what's in place between us.

4. Who we share your information with

We don't sell your personal information. We don't share it with advertisers. The only third party currently involved in our apps is Apple, which handles the App Store distribution and payments under its own privacy terms.

5. How long we keep your information

Support emails

We keep support correspondence for 12 months after your issue is resolved. That's long enough to help if a related question comes up, but not so long that we're holding onto your message indefinitely.

Business contact records

We keep records relating to business relationships for 6 years after the relationship ends. This matches the standard legal window (under the Limitation Act 1980) during which either party could bring a contractual claim. After that, records are deleted.

Financial records

Transaction records — not your payment card details, which we never see — are kept for 6 years from the end of the relevant financial year. This is required by HMRC and the Companies Act 2006.

6. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct anything that's wrong
  • ask us to delete your information (subject to any legal obligation we have to keep it)
  • ask us to stop using your information in certain ways
  • receive a copy of your information in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, email us at: privacy@delaybox.com

If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

7. Keeping your information safe

We hold very little personal data, and what we do hold is kept in secure email systems. We don't run consumer databases. We apply appropriate security measures proportionate to the information we hold.

8. Third-party infrastructure

We use third-party services to run our business. Two of these handle information you may have shared with us directly:

Both are reputable, established providers with their own privacy and data protection commitments. We do not share your information with any other parties, and we do not share it unnecessarily with these ones — they hold only what flows through the tools we use to operate.

We do not sell personal data to anyone, for any purpose.

9. Children

Our apps require Apple Health, which Apple restricts to users aged 13 and over. We do not target children, and because our apps do not involve account creation or data collection, we do not hold personal information about any user regardless of age. If a child has contacted us directly, please let us know and we will delete that correspondence.

10. Updates to this policy

We'll update this policy if our practices change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be noted on our website.
